Thanks for supporting our Puppy & People Bake Sale!

My people niece, Kaiah, wants to say thank you to all of you for supporting our puppy and people bake sale. She loves seeing all of you come into All Wags and can't wait until she has teeth so that she can enjoy some people treats. Until then, she can just watch all of you. We hope that you and your pups enjoyed your holiday treats. I had some of the puppy treats and they were delicious! The people that I saw really seemed to be enjoying theirs too! I'm happy to let you all know that we raised $121 for our Dogswalk Against Cancer Team and that's just awesome. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Merry Christmas!

It's an awfully rainy day here in Charlotte, but Merry Christmas to everyone! We hope that you are enjoying the magic of Christmas with your pups today. Start a fire in the fireplace and turn on the Christmas lights, this a great day to get all cozy. I hope that you all eat too much today and if the pups steal a Christmas cookie or two, today is certainly the day for it. The pups that are at All Wags today are having a fabulous Christmas and are very thankful for the large indoor play space. I'm so glad that I am getting to play with the boarded dogs today. Remember, tomorrow we are going to be open for daycare. If any of you puppy moms and dads are going to the bowl game tomorrow, I'm sure that your pups would like to come play with us while you are there. Have a great day everyone!

Have you been thinking about your New Years Resolution?

With New Year's Eve fast approaching us, I'm sure that many of you have been thinking about your resolutions. It's about this time of year that us pups all hear you guys talk about resolving to get more exercise. Well, guess what? You're already ahead of the game by having us! A recent study has shown that people who have dogs and who walk them regularly get more exercise than the average gym-goer. The study, which quizzed 5,000 people, found that many dog owners walk their best friends a whopping eight hours a week! Those without dogs averaged 80 minutes a week at the gym, jogging, or walking. So, we are always willing to walk with you and we want you to be healthy and well. Maybe just make walking us your resolution, it sounds like it will pay off big time! Oh, and, if it's even possible, we'll love you even more for the extra walks!

We love Ali!!!

I love Ali, do you? Well, she certainly loves your pups and she loves working at All Wags! Ali has been working at All Wags since the beginning of this year, but she has known my mama and my family since she was a little girl. Ali's mama and my mama are bestest friends. She has a little dog names Rascal who is one of my bestest friends and who just loves coming to All Wags! She has always had dogs and has always loved dogs so All Wags is a perfect place for her. It's not even like working most of the time!

Holiday Schedule at All Wags

Happy Howl-idays everyone! Can you believe that it's less than a week until Christmas? I hope I get lots of dog treats and lots of snuggles! What's on your Christmas wish list? My mama wanted me to be sure that you all knew what the schedule was going to be for Christmas and New Years. All Wags is going to be closed for daycare on Thursday, December 24th (Christmas Eve) and on Friday, December 25th (Christmas Day). We are going to be open for boarding drop-offs on Christmas Eve from 7am until noon and then from 2pm until 6pm. Of course, the boarded pups will be getting lots of love and Christmas snuggles on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! Saturday, December 26th will be back to a regular daycare day. And, just in case you were wanting to do some planning ahead... On New Year's Eve (Thursday, December 31st), All Wags will be open regular daycare hours. However, on New Years Day (Friday, January 1st) we will be closed for daycare and there will be no pick-ups or drop-offs for the boarded dogs. We will be hanging out with the boarded dogs and having our own New Years Day Celebration. Enjoy this fabulous holiday season and spread Christmas Cheer!

Is this a familiar face?

Does anyone know this dog? She was found wandering the streets in the NoDa area at around 2am Saturday. She had on a collar but there are no tags on the collar. She looks like she is a pit bull or a pit bull mix and is very sweet. She also knows basic commands, like sit, stay, down. So, I bet she is someone's dog and I'm sure that they would all like to be reunited for the holidays. If you know her or her owners, please email ktamerlano@gmail.com and she will be able to give you info to get in touch with the dog. Please help! Let's give this pretty girl a happy ending!

Happy Birthday to Rosie!

Hi Everyone, it's Bailey! I'm taking over the blog because I wanted to wish my little sister Rosie a very, very happy birthday. I'm so glad that goofball of a pup came to live with us and I love her! Her and I are the best of friends and I'm so glad that my mom and dad brought us together. She is two today, can you believe it? Rosie has been coming to All Wags since she was 6 weeks old and hasn't missed a day since. Our whole family is so happy that she became a part of our family, it really wouldn't be the same without her. All Wags wouldn't be the same without her either. Happy Birthday, Rosie!!!

Sunbathing in the Winter

Just because it's cold outside doesn't mean that us pups like laying in the sun any less. It actually can be nicer since we are automatically wearing a fur coat every day. The top of the plastic storage bin in the back is quite the hotspot for sunbathing. Little did my mama know that when she purchased something to hold trash bags that it would become such a popular part of our play area. I've shown you many photos in the past, it seems, of my pal, Georgia, soaking up the rays from there. Well, just check out my bud, Hank. I'm not sure if he got half way up and just got too tired to continue the climb or if he realized that his whole body just wouldn't fit. Either way, I'm loving this photo and loving Hank!

All About Freddie

Us pups certainly love our Freddie and she is very special to All Wags. I know that you puppy moms and dads see her every day when you drop your pups off, so how about a little more info and some fun facts about Freddie? She has been working at All Wags since June 2006. She is a single mom and is raising 4 people children, 1 puppy child (my friend, Patch), 2 cats, and a fish. You could say that she is a little bit of an animal lover! She is also kind of my second mama, and I just love her. Freddie is also the All Wags groomer. If your pup is in need of a haircut or a nail trim, Freddie is the gal for you. She will make them look all beautiful, and we know that you probably have some photo ops for your pups coming up with the holidays, so be sure to make your appointments! Also, and you may not know this, all of that grooming money goes directly to Freddie, All Wags doesn't keep any of it. Freddie truly loves all of the All Wags pups and thinks of them all as her big, huge, extended, furry family!

Send us your holiday photos!

So, us pups totally put up with photos with Santa Claus and with funny holiday stuff on because we know how much you love it and how much you like seeing us in those photos. We love making you happy and, we have to admit that we do look pretty cute! We are going to make a holiday photo album on our Facebook page, but we need your puppy holiday photos! Take a look at the fabulous photo that Zoey's mom already sent us. Send your photos to Kelly Tamerlano, her email address is ktamerlano@gmail.com (She's Mandy & Ella's mama). If you want to look at all of the fun, holiday photos, be sure to look on Facebook at the All Wags Doggie Daycare page, and, if you're not already our fan, be sure to become one!

People fun at All Wags

Did you know that the people at All Wags have just as much fun every day as the pups and I do? They are all people who truly love and enjoy dogs. And, we love and enjoy them right back. My puppy friends tell me that they love having people friends in their lives who love them so much and aren't even "their people." It's like we are all one big extended puppy and people family and that is what is truly great. Us pups feel so comfortable around the All Wags people friends that, though we miss you when you are gone, it's not so bad because we are with other people who will show us love and affection and that makes us feel so comfortable. We truly are a lucky bunch of pups and the people who get to come to All Wags every day and play with us are pretty lucky too!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope that all of the puppy parents and their pups had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We missed you all today and for those puppy parents who are reading this from afar and your pup is staying with us at All Wags, we had a wonderful Pups-giving today! There was lots and lots of playing!
I took a poll of my puppy friends this week and we are all thankful for the same thing. We are all so happy about and thankful for our wonderful and fabulous homes! There is so much love in all of our lives and it is just amazing. We love receiving love and, most of all, we love giving out love. Our lives are fantastic and it is all because of you, our puppy parents. Thanks for giving so much great stuff to us pups. We can't speak to tell you how much we thank you, but please know that every time that we lick your face or gaze up at you with loving eyes that we are letting you know.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and remember All Wags is open tomorrow for day care. We hope you will come and see us!

A Thanksgiving without Madison

Hi Everyone! Be thinking about my people sister Madison. She had to have her tonsils taken out on Monday and won't be able to spend her Thanksgiving with us pups at All Wags. The surgery went well and she is healing up, so she just needs rest and love now. Of course, I'm super happy to give love and Bailey is too! She tells me that she is pretty pscyhed about the school that she got to miss, though! When you see her next week, giver her a big hello! She misses your pups and wll be so happy to get back to them!

Want your dog to be featured as All Wags Dog of the Month!

We know that all of you puppy parents know how awesome and special your pups are, but don't you wish that you could share all that with everyone who comes to All Wags. Well, what if your pup could be featured in our newsletter as the Dog of the Month. Now they can! All you need to do is fill out the nomination form that is available in the All Wags lobby or at the All Wags website and then hand it in. Each month we will pick a pup's form at random to be featured in the newsletter. Aren't you so excited to read about all of the pups and then even more excited at the prospect of that pup that everyone is reading about being yours? It looks like my pal Evie is really jonesing for the title of dog of the month by showing off and doing tricks in this photo!

Help your favorite shelter win $20,000!!

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, here is another free way to help out homeless pets. The Animal Rescue Site (don't forget to make your daily click!) along with Pet Finder are giving away $100,000 during their $100,000 Shelter Challenge! All you have to do is vote. All Wags does so many things to help out Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Care and Control that my paw decided to vote for them, but you can vote for any shelter that is near and dear to your heart... and... you can vote once every day! The grand prize is a $20,000 grant and then there are many other smaller prizes. Visit The Animal Rescue Site to vote every day and to learn more. You don't even have to register and, yep, voting is absolutely free! The other pups and I thank you!

Want a free and easy way to help homeless pets?

I'm sure that all of you have a soft spot in your hearts for homeless & hungry pups. I know that I couldn't imagine not having my morning and evening meals and your pups are the lucky ones like me. Some of them have been homeless and now have loving and awesome homes with you and some have never even felt that, but they all have fabulous lives. Well, what if I told you that there was something that you could do that was free and would take you less that 15 seconds to do that would help these homeless and hungry pups. You'd say, sign me up, right? All you have to do is click on The Animal Rescue Site daily, it's that simple. The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily so they can meet their quota of getting FREE FOOD donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute (about 15 seconds) to go to their site and click on the purple box 'fund food for animals for free'. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Please pass it along to people you know. http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/

How awesome is Saturday daycare?

We know that all of you know how great weekday daycare is, but do you know how awesome Saturday daycare is? All of you puppy moms and dads are super busy with work and your other responsibilities and, though, you may want to just hang out with your pups all day Saturday, when are you going to clean and go to the grocery store and all of the stuff like that? Then, when you have finished all of that stuff, your pup isn't ready to snuggle and relax with you, they want to play and you are just tired... Well, a great solution to that is Saturday daycare! Take a look at Mandy & Ella, their mom dropped them off to play with us while she ran errands and just look at them! So ready to hang out and watch the game with their parents! They missed most of it because they were sleeping, but it was a good Saturday for everyone!

Are these pups having a "Turkey-induced" nap?

Nope, it's just a nap from a day of play at All Wags, no Tryptophan around! So, I bet that made you start wondering what the Thanksgiving schedule is going to be at All Wags, huh? Well, you're in luck because I'm about to tell you. Next week, we will be open all of the regular daycare days except for Thursday, actual Thanksgiving. All Wags will be closed for daycare, plus be closed for boarding pick-ups and drop-offs. Of course, the boarding pups will still be getting plenty of snuggles and attention that day. The people will be giving all of their love to them! We'll be celebrating Thanksgiving All Wags style, a puppy party! If you have any questions about next week's schedule, just ask my mama, Karen, next time you are in!

Thanksgiving Plans?

My people friends at All Wags really want to give your pups love for Thanksgiving! Do you have plans for Thanksgiving? Traveling? Hosting Thanksgiving in your home? Well, don't forget to make your boarding reservations. Your pup will love staying with us! And, not all of us pups enjoy a house full of guests, so even if you are staying home and hosting Thanksgiving dinner, your pup may enjoy being at All Wags. Just be sure to save them some turkey, and if you happen to bring me some too, that would be OK! Your pups are thankful for you this Thanksgiving!

So... what have you been thinking of this weather?

Brrrr... These past few days have been so cold and rainy, and, I have a feeling that the cold is here to stay for a few more months. Now, most of us pups don't mind it nearly as much as you puppy parents do (seeing as how we wear these nice fur jackets all the time) but we still know when it is cold outside. It's just that kind of weather where I'm sure that you want to avoid going outside as much as you can. Well, we can help you out a bit with that! Don't forget about the awesome All Wags Drive Thru. All that you have to do is pull up and an All Wags employee will come out and get your pup. That's right, no getting out of the car for you and if these weather of the past few days keeps up, that means no getting wet for you. And, as you can see from the photo, your pup will have quite the welcoming committee waiting for them inside when they arrive!

All Wags can really make pups and people tired!

All Wags doesn't just make the pups tired, it makes the people tired. Check out my new people sister-in-law, Brooks, and my, um, puppy niece? Zoe and Brooks are taking quite a lovely snooze together after working and playing hard at All Wags. I'm sure that all of you puppy parents enjoy snoozing and snuggling with your pups after a long day at your work and that's what we specialize in at All Wags... getting your puppy babies all ready to snuggle with you at night! All paws in favor of sleepy snuggles! Is there anything better on rainy, dreary days like the ones we are having right now?

Calling all Snuggly Pups!

Have you puppy parents heard of Hands on Charlotte? They are a group that organizes volunteers all throughout Charlotte. Well, one of the many projects that they do is Pet Therapy. They organize groups of puppy parents and their puppy kids to go to nursing homes all around Charlotte and they need more pups to help out. Your pup doesn't need to be an official therapy dog, they just have to be friendly around other people and dogs and be ready to be snuggled and pet a lot. The residents of these nursing homes really look forward to their little furry visitors, so it's super important that they are able to fill all of the spots that are open for volunteers. If you and your puppy kid would like to volunteer, check out the Hands on Charlotte website. You will need to attend an orientation and then you will be good to go to volunteer!

Birthdays are extra special at All Wags

Check out my pal Bandit chillin' on his birthday! Birthdays truly are extra special at All Wags. The pups get even more love than usual (as if that's even possible)! Plus, the parents get a fantastic photo of their pup in a birthday hat. My mama even makes these photos into a magnet and, trust me, they go great in refrigerators, filing cabinets, anywhere you can stick them! I often hear the puppy moms and dads saying "Awww" when they pick up their pup and see the photo magnet. So, be sure to bring your pup on their birthday, it's a great way for them to spend their birthday: hanging out with friends!!! And, don't worry, if we miss your pup on their birthday, we'll be sure to get that photo taken the next time that they come to see us!
For some birthday celebration at home, don't forget that my pal Tobie's mom makes beautiful dog birthday cakes in the shape of a bone for only $20. Be sure to ask my mama, Karen, for all of the details. I got to try the cake and it was super delicious!

It's a puppy kind of Halloween

So, remember my little friend, Rocco? He was one of the cute, little black puppies looking for a home over the summer. I'm sure that many of you even held him. Well, as you know, he got a fantastic forever home. Just check out the fabulous devil costume that his dad got him for Halloween. It's quite a fitting costume for such a sweet, little devil. I think it's quite fabulous for this little guy to go from nearly being put down to celebrating Halloween in such style!

Is your pup bothered by trick-or-treaters as much as I am?

So, everyone knows that us pups really just don't like the mailman, he 's a stranger that comes up to our house every single day. Nothing against those who deliver mail, we just like to protect our homes. Well, the same goes for most pups and trick-or-treaters. While it's loads of fun for the kids, trick-or-treat can be super stressful for us pups. There are tons of people coming to our house and walking by and we don't know hardly any of them. Plus, if you factor in the doorbell ringing, most of us just become huge stress balls! There is a safe alternative where we can relax, though, yep, you guessed it, All Wags. We do still have room for boarders tomorrow night if your pup would like to come and spend Halloween night with us! Happy Halloween everyone!

All Wags's own tripod- Meet Promise!

All Wags has a very special new pup with a very awesome story. Promise is being fostered and her foster family brings her to come and play at All Wags until she finds her forever home. Promise is a sweet little girl with only three legs, but you would have to give her a second look because this girl can run and jump with the best of them!
Miss Promise's life is fabulous now, but it definitely didn't start out that way. She was found and had been hit by a car. Her back leg was hurt very badly and the shelter that she had been taken to was going to just put her down. Well, a really nice lady from the Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue came along and took her and made sure that she got the surgery that she needed to amputate her leg. She's all recovered from her surgery and ready for the next phase of her life... her forever home! To keep up with Promise's story, check her out at the Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue webpage. Just scroll down until you see her sweet face. Be sure to check out all of the other awesome stories on their webpage!

Join the All Wags team for the 2010 Dogswalk Against Cancer

The 2010 Dogswalk Against Cancer is on Saturday, April 3, 2o10, beginning and ending at the Canine Cafe. We are starting our team-building and fundraising early. We hope that you will join us or be able to make a donation to our team. I didn't get to go last year, but my friends, Ella & Cullie, did along with their mamas and also our friends, Ashley and Callie. I hope that I will get to go this year. From what I hear, it's a fun time for humans and pups alike. There are lots of treats for everybody and the money raised goes to some pretty great causes, the American Cancer Society and Murray's Fund at Carolina Veterinary Specialists. People and pups both get helped! Follow this link to join our team: 2010 Dogswalk Against Cancer - Charlotte, NC:

It's a Wedding!

Guess what everybody? Today my people brother, Ryan, married All Wags' very own Brooks! I didn't get to go, but I hear that it was all very beautiful and fun. They got married down in Charleston, South Carolina by the beach. I was wondering where all of my people were, but when I found out what they had been doing, I was so excited and happy. I love to see my family grow and I am so happy that Brooks is now a part of it! So many All Wags people were there! Here's who: My other people brothers, Josh & Tyler; my mama, Karen; my people sister, Madison and my friend, Ali. Brooks will be gone for the next week on her honeymoon in Florida, but I'm sure that she will miss all of us. My mama wanted to be sure and thank all of the other All Wags people who worked hard over the weekend to keep All Wags running awesomely!

Sometimes a pup just needs to take a rest

So, I bet you puppy moms and dads wonder what all your pups do all day. Do they run constantly or are they ever taking a break? Is my pup getting too much activity? (Some of you may not even believe that is possible.) Well, my pals Mandy and Ella are here to show you all that, yes, when pups are tired they do take a break. We're pretty smart little beings and do rest when we need to, the amount of rest needed just varies from pup to pup. Right in front of them, what you can't see, is that other pups are running around and playing, but these two sisters decided that it was time to take a nap and they are thoroughly enjoying the beds that are available in our play areas. By the way, my friend Mandy got the nickname "Peanut" from her mom and dad when they first adopted her because of laying like this. They think that when she curls up she is the shape of a peanut! She seems to have taught her adopted sister Ella the technique too!

How big is a puppy?

I'm sure that most of you think of puppies as being small, little guys. Well, not always... This is my friend, Simba, and while Simba was small the first time coming to All Wags, not anymore! And, believe it or not, Simba isn't even 1 year old yet! That's right, Simba is a puppy! Simba is a really cool breed of dog called a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and they have, you guessed it, a "ridge" going down their "back." Now you see where the name comes from! Simba loves playing fetch with the ball and usually wins. The other pups don't stand a chance when it comes to Simba's awesome height. No jumping even needed to catch the ball. Don't you just love big puppies?!

All Wags is super clean and like new

So, my schedule today was a little bit different than most normal Sundays. Me, my mom, dad, Bailey & Madison all got up early and went to All Wags. Well, when we got there all of the people who work at All Wags were there. I was confused until they all got to work. It was a mega cleaning day, I mean all hands on deck! My people brother, Tyler, even came back from college to help. The people put in some good hours and a lot of elbow grease. Ok, it wasn't all elbow grease, there was a pressure washer involved. The place looks great and us pups had so much fun playing in our squeaky clean play-space. Thanks for caring so much about us all and thanks to my people friends who work at All Wags for coming out and helping on their Sunday morning!

Playground Equipment- Not Just for Kids

So, many of you may look at our back play area and wonder, "Hmmm, I wonder if any of the pups ever play on the playground equipment and if they do, what does it look like." Well, here for your viewing pleasure are some adorable photos of us pups playing. We can't help ourselves, if you come and peek through the fence we are just going to run over and bark at you. Sorry, we can't help it... It must be the same gene that makes us bark at the mailman. Here is your chance to see us in action. We absolutely LOVE to play on the playground equipment. We run up the stairs and slide down the slides and sometimes we run up the slides and slide down the stairs, but that doesn't always work out quite as well. I think our favorite thing to do on the playground equipment is what I like to call King and/or Queen of All Wags. This is where one of us gets up high and just looks out over everyone else, kind of like we rule the place. That is what my friend, Coyote, is playing. You can also see that Stella and Vinnie are having a blast playing hide and seek. No matter what, we always have fun at All Wags!

Snugglers Wanted

So, most of you probably know that most of us pups just can't get enough snuggling. We will snuggle with just about any person or other pup that will snuggle with us and some of us even snuggle with kitties. Here's me and my pal, Macy Lou. The great thing about coming to All Wags is that it's not always just about playing. Us pups are social animals and just hanging around and laying and snuggling makes us just as happy as playing and running. We just love being around our friends, no matter what we are doing!

Dogs Rule Day

Happy Dogs Rule Day! I certainly couldn't agree more and the people actually kind of think that every day should be dogs rule day! It certainly is here at All Wags! Pedigree (a yummy food) has declared October 10th Dogs Rule Day, and their idea is that this should just be a day that is all about your dog and loving them. The pups at All Wags certainly got lots of love today. And, how about we had every kind of weather?! Cool breezes, rain, sun, etc. Enough differences to make everyone happy on Dogs Rule Day. If you want some ideas about how to celebrate with your best friend check out the website devoted to the day. And, hey, we are OK if you celebrate tomorrow and the next day and the next day...

Goodbye to our good friend, Peanut

It's been a pretty sad couple of weeks at All Wags. One of our good friends, Peanut, recently passed away. He was a rescued lab who always had problems with his knees. Well, his mom and dad discovered that he had a tumor on his spine after many tests, and this is what eventually sent him to Doggie Heaven at only 8 years old. He always enjoyed his time at All Wags and his mom and dad say they were some of his happiest and we are so happy and proud to have been a part of them. We will all miss our dear friend, Peanut, so much. Give your pups some extra snuggles tonight. Unfortunately, we never know when scary things like tumors will happen to any of us, so we have to just love each other every day. I also want to say good-bye to some of our All Wags employee dogs who also passed away this September. Good-bye and lots of love to Brinnley, Bear, Tanner and their families. We'll see you all at the Rainbow Bridge.

Dr. Keri Hawkes Switches Vet Practices

I wanted to make sure that you all know that my super awesome vet (and many of yours), Dr. Keri Hawkes, is officially at a different vet practice. She is now going to be at Southpark Animal Hospital on Park Road. Here are the dates that she will be there through the end of the year:

October 29 and 30

November 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,10, 11,17,18, 21, 23, 24, 25

December 4, 5, 8, 9,15,16,19, 21, 22, 23, 29, 30

She is the only vet that Bailey and I have ever been to and I know that she is the only vet that my friends, Mandy & Ella have ever been to, and I'm sure many of you other pups too. Here's how awesome she is, in case you don't already know. When my friend, Mandy, first went to live with her family after being adopted from Animal Control she was so scared to go to the vet that she would just cower and didn't even want to go in. At first she had to be given a special pill just to calm her down enough to go into the vet. Well, Dr. Hawkes was so patient with her and showed her so much love that now, she goes into the vet's office with her tail wagging because she knows they are going to take good care of her. She even told me that her mom took her to the Southpark Animal Hospital just to visit and say "Hi" to Dr. Hawkes and she said that she wasn't even afraid then, even though she had never smelled it in there before.

If you want to make an appointment with her, all you have to do is call Southpark Animal Hospital at 704-523-3457 and tell them that you want to see Dr. Hawkes. Also, Southpark Animal Hospital is going to be the new emergency vet for All Wags. Now, while we hope to never have to use an emergency vet, we just wanted to make sure that all of the puppy moms and dads knew.

Chow Time

If you've never seen the sight of the pups waiting to go in the Mutt Hut to get food, then you are going to love this photo. We all know that us pups love food, and the line-up at the door of the Mutt Hut really shows that. It usually starts when one of us realizes that one of the people has gone in there and then we start hearing the sound of food going into metal bowls. Well, that sound gets us running. Even those of us that aren't eating get so psyched. Then we all just stand there staring in anticipation. Then, when they open the doors we go running in, and, then... Yeah! Chow Time!

Hello Fall!

Sometimes the summer weather is just a bit too warm for us pups and our fur coats. But, boy, do we love fall! Now is the time that we can really run outside for a long time and more importantly, and this is different from what I can see that you people like to do, this is a great time for sunbathing. We just love soaking up that fall sun, every once in a while catching a cool breeze. Sometimes you see some of us opening our mouths to the breezes, we just like how it feels, you really should try it sometime. Check out my friends Carmella and Snickers soaking up the autumn sunshine and breeze on that great cool concrete. I just love being a dog, the simple things make us so happy!

You can't always judge a book by it's cover!

So, we pups know that people tend to really judge us by our looks, especially by our breeds. This is especially true for pups that people think are aggressive breeds. Well, so not true! We have so many pups at All Wags that are just as sweet as can be at heart, you just have to look a bit beyond the surface to discover it. Take my buds, Yuri and Luca, for example, they kind of look like wolves, which I know can be an aggressive animal. But, they are true lovers at heart. How can you not love that big, beautiful smile? Remember, don't always judge a book by it's cover! Something that's true, not just for us pups, but for people too! We just all want to be loved!

All Wags has taken such good care of me!

Hi Everyone, I'm Evie. Rosie let me write a blog because I wanted to let everyone know how much All Wags has taken care of me. I had to have surgery on my eye and, as you can see, I have to wear this funny cone thing around my head. I guess it's so I don't scratch it or something, which I so want to do. Well, I've been coming to All Wags, even with my big cone, and it sure does keep my mind off of my eye. Plus, they can tell when maybe I need to rest or just need some extra snuggles. If I can't be at home getting love while I'm recovering, then I'm so glad that I can come to All Wags and get love. There are just times in a pups life when we need a little extra TLC and now is one of those times for me and I am getting plenty of it! Thanks for loving me, everybody!

Where better to snooze than on a stack of chairs!

Hey All! Check out my pal, Milly Grey! She is just pooped and plopped herself right down on a stack of chairs. Do you think she could make herself any flatter? I certainly don't. That's one of those cool skills that us pups have, the flat thing. Milly Grey is one of our super awesome and special everyday dogs and we are so happy that we get to see her and hang out so often. Her mama loves her so much and she has a ton of people and puppy friends at All Wags. She's such a popular girl!

It's a Weimeraner Convention

Some days it seems like we have so many pups at All Wags who look alike. Check out the Weimeraner convention that we had the other day! It's all about finding the little things about the dogs that make them different. For example, Alle, the Weimeraner, has beautiful big eyes, see if you can pick her out in the photo. You can also see that their grays are all just a little bit different... And, that is one of the super important things that the people at All Wags do. So, you can always know that your pup will never be just another Weimeraner or just another Yellow Lab at All Wags. We will always find out what is special about them and makes them the unique and awesome pup that they are!

I'm a Doggie Aunt!

Congratu-lations to my people brother, Josh, and his super awesome wife, Jessica! They had a baby girl this morning! So, if you don't see Josh around for the next few days or if you do and he looks super tired, now you know why! Right now Josh and Jessica just look super happy that she finally came! Proud new Grand Mama, Karen, is really, really excited as is my whole family. Kaiah Ashlyn was born this morning at 4:18am. I was wondering what was going on when all of the people were rushing out of the house when we were supposed to be sleeping. She weighs 7 pounds and 4 ounces and is 19 1/2 inches long. Did I mention that she is adorable? I can't wait until I can play with her. I bet that she will love my floppy ears!
