Spencer is famous!

One of our fabulous All Wags pups is famous! Spencer Reichley made it into USA Today's online album of pet photos in his pirate costume. Be sure to check out the sweet, famous boy. He looks pretty fabulous as Captain Jack Sparrow and with his paws up it looks like he is getting ready to take on the seven seas! I hope the fame doesn't get to his cute little head. What is your pup being for Halloween this year? We would love to see photos!

Use the drive-thru to beat the cold!

It's starting to get a lot colder in the mornings, have you noticed? Sometimes maybe it's even a little bit too cold to get out of the car when you come bring your pup to All Wags in the morning. Don't forget about our drive-thru. You can just pull out and someone will come out and get your pup out of the car for you. No cold for you and it's quick and easy and your pup gets right in and on their way to a fun day of play. The drive-thru is open Monday- Friday from 7am-9am, give it a try some morning if you haven't already!

I Rescued a Human Today

Something cute to read for everyone who loves a shelter dog...

Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her. I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid.

As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage. I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them.

As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life.

She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship.

A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe. I would promise to always be by her side. I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes. I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors. So many more to be saved. At least I could save one.

I rescued a human today.

The SNIP clinic is NOT today

Just wanted to be sure you all knew... the SNIP clinic for All Wags customers is not today. It was going to be, but they had to reschedule. We're now going to be having a combined clinic for All Wags customers and for the public on Friday, October 22nd. You can still just bring your pup to daycare on that day and we will take it from there. So, just as a re-cap, not today, but in 2 weeks your pup can get their vaccines. Just let us know if you need to make an appointment!

Dog Costumes

It's officially October and not only does that bring the continuation of all great things fall like football and cool weather, apples and pumpkins, it also brings Halloween. And, Halloween brings adorable dog costumes. We know that most pups just kind of tolerate their costumes for their people, but they do seem to make the people so very happy and the photos are always really great. If you are dressing your pup up in a costume, we would absolutely love to see those photos! Shelby's mama, Emily, already shared her great hot dog costume with us. Send us more, send us more! We love them!

Saturday night out with your pup? OK!

Are you looking for something cool and interesting to do tomorrow night that benefits a great cause AND you can take your pup? Hounds4Heroes is having their very first fundraiser tomorrow night at the Dog Bar. It is an Art Auction and many great local artists have donated their art. There are a great variety of pieces that you can bid on and it will be price affordably with bids starting at just $8. Not only can you score a great piece of art, but you get to hang out with your favorite puppy friend. The weather is going to be beautiful this weekend, so the patio of the Dog Bar with a cold beer in your hand bidding on some art to help Hounds4Heroes and getting kisses from your pup is a great way to spend it!
