New Babies- Woohoo!

Hi Everyone! This is Miller, and guess what he has at his house? A brand new people baby! Yep, Miller is a big brother! I've heard that when that happens it can be really stressful for the mommy and the daddy which can then stress out us pups. We just love you so much that we tend to feel what you are feeling. Well, Miller just came and stayed with us while his people were getting that baby ready to come and live with them and stuff. Miller had a great time and his people didn't have to worry about him because they knew the people at All Wags were taking great care of him. I've noticed a lot of the people mommies with popping bellies of recent, so just know, All Wags is a great place to bring your furry kid while you are getting things together for your brand new people kid! Congratulations to all of the many people babies who have recently joined the All Wags family or who are about to!

Little Puppy Found

So, if you came into All Wags today, you probably noticed a new little friend hanging out in the office. Right now the people are calling him Mojo and he is oh so cute! A man brought him in this morning and said that he had found him, he was thinking that maybe the pup had somehow escaped from All Wags or something. Well, no, and the people and I all had never seen this cute pup. The man asked if he could leave him and if All Wags would know what to do. Now, you know that my mama, Karen, couldn't say no to that sweet face or any dog for that matter. They took him to the vet and scanned for his microchip, but he doesn't have one. They called Animal Control and they are going to send his photo out in an email and put it in a book of found dogs, but without a microchip it's pretty hard to get him back home. Maybe someone will come looking for him, but for now, he's living at All Wags. That worked out pretty well for Cullie and Ella (the former Thelma and Louise).
OK, now the important part and this is from the bottom of my puppy, Rosie heart... We pups love you, our owners so much. However, sometimes we get away and wander and may not be able to find our way back even if nice people want to help us get home. Please, please make sure that you have a microchip in your pup. It's really the only way to be sure that they can find their way home. Even a collar with tags can fall off. It didn't even hurt me when I got the shot and now I know that I will always be able to find my way home.

The "Mr"s and the "Mrs"

Such proper pups we had at All Wags today! So, get this, today Mrs.  Mosby, Mr. Utley and Mr. Darcy were all at All Wags. How funny is that? Probably one of the coolest things about being at All Wags is finding out what all of these cool dogs are named, so don't be surprised if the people ask you all about your pups' name. They really are interested and want to know. Now, can you figure out the stories behind our "Mr"s and the "Mrs"? I'll give you a second (Insert Jeopardy music...).

Ok, so Mrs. Mosby (Black
and White Puppy).
.. Have you seen the TV show How I Met your Mother? Well, Ted Mosby, the main character, is telling the story of how he met their mother... Mrs. Mosby is the mother!

Mr. Darcy (all White)... Come on, did you get that one? He's Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice, the novel by Jane Austen. My mom says that you probably had to read that in High School.

Last, but certainly not least, Mr. Utley (red and shaggy)... I know it's on the tip of your tongue and you are gritting your teeth thinking. Mr. Utley is in Jimmy Buffet's Coral Reefer Band!

How cool is that? Next time you are in, be sure to tell us the story behind your puppy kid's name. We can't wait to hear!

Saturday Daycare

Do you and your puppy kids know that we now have Saturday daycare, in addition to regular Monday-Friday. Us pups sure know how nice it is outside this summer and we know that this sometimes means that our people go out and do fun stuff on Saturdays, like go on boats or to picnics. We totally understand, we love this weather too! Just wanted to make sure that you knew (OK, the pups have been hinting around that they want to come more, but don't say I told) that you could bring your puppy friends to All Wags on Saturdays. We'd love to see them and then when you get home all sleepy from your fun day, your pup will be sleepy too and will have had a fun day. Actually, the pup may have more fun, but, again, that will be our little secret. (wink, wink)

Office Dogs

So, you know that my mom, Karen, wanted to own All Wags and work there because she LOVES dogs, right? Well, sometimes when she has to be up in the office and doing boring work stuff on the computer or on the phone and she can't come back in the back and see us all, she gets lonely, and that is when some lucky pup or pups gets to come and join her in the office. The desk in there really does make a great fort. It's a great place to take a little snooze! You can see that Ellie and Nova are showing that to you all quite nicely. Yeah, mom has to then kind of work her feet around the pups at her feet, but, you know, puppy love is what it is all about at All Wags!

Tired Buddy

Do you know what happens when your puppy kid boards at All Wags? They get really, really, really tired. And then do you know what happens? The people get really, really, really snuggly. All of the people friends at All Wags know that when a puppy stays at All Wags they need lots of extra special attention. They are usually missing their families and their homes, but that's nothing that a little love can't fix. This is my friend, Buddy. He's just a puppy and he stayed with us. My people friend, Callie, was giving him lots and lots of quality snuggle time. Buddy is so sleepy that he is passed out even with all of the other friends around. What a great baby dog and what great snuggle time!

Hey Zues! What's up?

What's better on a hot summer day than a pool? Um, pretty much nothing, and that's true whether you are a pup or a people. When the air gets hot, as it has been pretty much every day for a long time, the people fill up the baby pools for us pups, which is awesome for us! This is Zues! He is only 8 months old, do you believe it! He's a Great Dane, which is a really big kind of dog! Here's what is funny, when his people brought him to All Wags they told us that he doesn't like water all that much. Well, I would say that Mr. Zues has been pulling one over on his people because he was having a blast running and jumping in the pools. Maybe he's a future Olympics man?!

Summer Storms

Is your furry friend afraid of storms? Lots of our All Wags friends are and they are so much happier being at All Wags on a stormy day than being home alone when their mom and dad are at work. Some pups just seem to need some comforting during storms, and my people friends are more than happy to give it! Don't you love this sweet photo of my friend, Daisy. This stool was kind of her safe place during the crazy storm that we had last week. The people all thought this photo was cute and were giving Daisy lots of kisses and snuggles so that she would feel safe. I was so happy for my friend that the people were able to help her feel better.

All Wags helps out the homeless pets at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control

So, remember a few weeks ago when we were away and we had the bake sale for Animal Control on Take Your Dog to Work Day? Well, today was the day that my mom and Jena went to give the check to them and, boy, were they happy that we came. The animals there need so many things, so we were so happy to be able to help them out. Plus, so many of our All Wags friends were adopted from Animal Control and what lucky pups they are. Did your pup come from Animal Control? We would love to know! Be on the look-out for other things that we want to do with them. All Wags and Animal Control are so excited about partnering together to help the animals. Thanks to everyone who was a part of our Take Your Dog to Work Day Event and to everyone who has rescued a pup or any animal, really!

We just love our mom!

Happy Friday, everybody! This is Luca, Snickers, and Vinnie, and, boy, do we love our mama! Rosie let us play on this computer thing today so that we could write a blog to our mom, Chele, thanking her for bringing us to All Wags. She brings us to play everyday, and while we love our home, it can get a little lonely when mom isn't there, so we're so glad that we get to go to All Wags while mom goes to work. Our Mom really is the best! She loves us so much that she doesn't want us to stay at home all day by ourselves. We also love our mom so much for rescuing us. We all used to live at a place called Animal Control in Charlotte and mom came and got each of us from there (at different times, of course). Some say that she gave us a second chance. We're all just happy to have such great lives with so much love around us! Thanks, Mom!!!

Puppy Love

One of the greatest things about All Wags is about how it gives pups a chance to become friends who probably never otherwise would have met. I definitely recognize my friends and get excited when they come to play with me at All Wags. These pups are like best friends! Hank (the yellow lab) and Alle (the weimeraner) are just laying there hugging each other. They love each other that much! Isn't that a great photo!? If you haven't been shown your pups' friends, definitely ask one of the people next time you come in. They will be more than happy to show you!

Maria, our very own All Wags volunteer

Hey all! Do you know how much I love my people friend, Maria? My mom, Karen, met Maria's mom at Dunkin' Donuts were she would stop to get that dark, hot drink people seem to love so much in the morning. They got to talking and Maria's mom said that she had a daughter who loved dogs and was wondering if Maria could come and hang out at All Wags when she had free time from school and stuff. Well, Maria came to All Wags and the rest is history, she loves All Wags and we love her. My little friends especially love Maria. I hear the people talking about a show called the Dog Whisperer and Maria is kind of like that with little dogs, they just flock to her, it's great! Whenever Maria has free time, she comes and hangs out with is at All Wags and I just love when she gets to come.

Happy 4th of July!

Wow! We had so much fun at All Wags this weekend! I sure do love holidays because lots and lots of my friends come stay at All Wags and then we get to hang out even more. This 4th of July day is tons of fun and the 5th of July was fun too! This weekend we had so many puppy friends and it was a blast! The weather was perfect so we had pool parties all weekend. So many of my friends just love to hang out in the pools. Some of them like to run through the pool, some like to just lay in it, some stand, some dunk tennis balls in there and some others just think the pool is a huge water bowl! Isn't that funny? We played lots and lots of fetch too! It seemed like there was always a people friend throwing a tennis ball and we would all go running after it.  Some of the times when we would all run after it, it would become a big chasing game and that is one of the best games of all. Thanks to all of the puppy moms and dads for bringing your puppy kids to All Wags this weekend! We had a fabulous 4th of July weekend party!

Who loves All Wags more than Jena?

Do you all know my friend, Jena? I'm sure that you all do. She's been working at All Wags since she was in high school, which I guess is a place you learn things and now she has to go to another town to learn things. All Wags loves her and she loves us! Us pups love her a lot too! My mom wanted to be sure that I thanked her for taking such good care of All Wags last week while we were gone. Cullie told me that her and her mom were here a lot and that they had a great time!

No daycare on Saturday and Happy 4th of July

Happy Thursday everyone! I know that lots of puppy moms and dads don't have to work tomorrow, which is such a happy thing for all of my puppy friends who get to stay home with their people parents tomorrow. I wanted to make sure that everyone knows that there is no daycare on Saturday. My mom says that it's a holiday and that lots of people go to picnics and do fireworks and something about our country and independence. I don't know, but I love picnics! We're changing the schedule a bit because of that. Your pup can definitely still board with us and drop off for boarding will be from 8-10 in the morning. A lot of my puppy friends have been telling me that their moms and dads are going away this weekend and lots of the moms and dads seem to be going to "the lake," so I am so looking forward to seeing lots of friends and hope that all of the moms and dads have a lot of fun!

We sure do love to play with tennis balls

Rosie's back! Are you excited? I sure am happy that my friends were able to help me out and write my blog for me while I was gone. I think I'll let friends help more often, sometimes I may just need a day off, ya know!
Do you know what is one thing that just about every dog loves? Tennis balls, and we have a TON of them at All Wags! Something about that fuzzy yellow stuff on the outside and the best is when they get popped and we can chew on them. Some of my friends even like to sit there and pull the fuzzy yellow stuff off, it makes a mess, but the people are always so nice to clean up after us. The best thing to do with a tennis ball, though? Have a people friend throw one, of course! Us pups just love to go running after tennis balls. Some friends just can't resist it and would just chase tennis balls forever if they could! Being a dog sure is great and having awesome people around us just makes it better!
