Special hours for the 4th!

Hi Puppy Parents! We wanted to be sure and let all of you know that there will be no pick-ups or drop-offs on Sunday, July 4th. The boarded pups will still be having a day of play and 4th of July fun with the other boarded pups and the people, there will just be no picking up and dropping off. The people can give more attention and time to the pups that way. Saturday, July 3rd and Monday, July 5th will be regular daycare days, so if you have picnics or days at the lake planned for those days why not bring your pup on over so they can have their own fun?! Happpy 4th of July, Everybody!

Showing the Ropes

We've had a bunch of new puppies at All Wags recently. Isn't that fantastic? These pups are not only new to All Wags, they are new to being pups. It's so great for them to get to come to All Wags because they have plenty of older pups to look out for them and show them the ropes of being a pup. Did you know that pups learn best from each other? If you see an older pup kind of putting their mouth over a younger pups mouth, that's all good, they are just giving them a little correction, teaching them something they maybe don't know, like don't bark. How best for a young pup to learn these sorts of things that from other pups. Such great togetherness for the pups! Here Rosie is telling one of the new pups, Pepsi, all about what goes on at All Wags and how much fun they are going to have together!

Kisses, Kisses!

Selwyn is such a loved pup that she always has a kiss on her face! Every morning when her mama drops her off, she gets a big lipstick-y smacker right on her nose. She plays all day with her puppy friends with that sweet kiss on her face and we at All Wags love being reminded of all that love between Selwyn and her mama. Can't you see it right there on her cute little nose? Isn't that just the best!? We love knowing how much all of our All Wags pups are loved! We certainly love them all too!

I ain't afraid of no storms... um, yes, I am!

We have had some pretty incredible summer storms of recent, thunder and lightening like you wouldn't believe! And, all of the dogs seem to react a little differently. Some aren't phased in the least bit. It's like nothing is going on. Some want to bark at it and attack the storm. Those sweet ones want to save us all from the storms, thanks little heroes! And still some others and just plain afraid of the storms, like really afraid. Our little pal Maynard here is one of those types of pups. This little man has found quite a tucked away hiding spot on one of our storage shelves. I hope he was feeling all safe and secure like the storm wouldn't be able to penetrate his fortress. At least summer storms are usually quick!

Summertime Fun!

Man, was it hot today! Right? We had a lot of great summertime fun at All Wags today. Mrs. Mosby and Izzy were having a fabulous time playing a game of chase today. Can't you just see how fast and hard those two pretty girls were running!? They were having an absolute blast. Mrs. Mosby had a little bit of minor surgery about a week and a half ago and today was her first day of really getting to play at All Wags after recovering, and, let me tell you, that girl didn't stop today. She was making up for lost time! After the running, Miss Izzy had to take a relaxing little snooze in the baby pool. How about that for some relaxation? She actually fell asleep in the pool! Don't you just want to join her? Ahhhh... Summer...

The Stop Sign Puppy Deserves a Second Chance

This adorable, sweet girl was found tied to a stop sign! Can you even believe it?! In this heat, this beautiful girl is just so lucky that our Maria came along and untied her and brought her to All Wags. She deserves a second chance! Is that second chance you? She is a nice medium size, weighing about 30 pounds. Just today, she went to Southpark Animal Hospital to see Dr. Keri and got all up to date on her shots. We are working on getting her spayed and then she will be good to go! This pup has a way of looking into your eyes and crawling straight into your heart. Have you seen that commercial about how a shelter dog was dealt a bad hand and responded with courage? Well, I would say that applies to Stop Sign puppies as well. So, who wants to adopt this amazing dog. You won't be sorry you did! She is a very sweet, smart girl and is just waiting for you to give her a name and a great forever home! Until then, she is the Stop Sign Puppy and she is living at All Wags waiting to meet her new family and have her second chance.

Little Tykes? Little Pups!

Do you ever wonder what your pup does all day at All Wags? Did you know that we have tons of great playground equipment that us pups just love? Sometimes it's just a great place for us to hang out and lounge like these pups are doing and other times the equipment becomes part of our chasing games with pups jumping up and sliding down the slides. Wouldn't you love to see that?! We just adore it! Lots of the equipment also has great forts and stuff for us to hide in and hang out with our buddies or just for some alone time. These big toys are just another reason why we thank you, our puppy parents, so much for having us be All Wags pups! Our lives are just fantastic and so fun!

New look for our blog

The new look to our blog seems rather fitting, don't you think? We are all about being all dogs all the time, so that should apply to the background of our blog too! Give us some feed back and let us know what you think. Are the colors of the wording, fonts, layout, etc. easy to read? Can you navigate well? We want you puppy parents to be able to enjoy the blog, so please, please let us know. Little Harry here will just be laying around waiting to hear from you! (Isn't that a great pose he has?! Such a big dog in a little dog's body!)

Exhausted Pups

Have you ever had anyone ask you why you have your dogs go to daycare? I'd say that these two photos are great answers to that question. Miss Rosie and Miss Ella are both just exhausted after a full day of playing and socializing with other dogs and people and both fell fast asleep in the car on the ride home. Dogs are social animals and need interaction with other dogs, just like humans need interaction with other humans. It's also wonderful for puppy moms and dads to know that their pup has had a good, full day if they have plans in the evening too. We all know that this is "patio season" in Charlotte where after work happy hours on the various patios around town are such a fun thing to do. It can be so much fun knowing that your pup is happily taking a rest while you relax and unwind after a stressful day. A tired dog is a happy dog and if that's the case, then I would say that these are both some pretty happy girls!

Need something awesomely fun to do with your pup tomorrow?

Tomorrow at the US National Whitewater Center is Dog Sports Day. There are going to be amazing dogs participating in all sorts of competitions: agility, water rescue, dock diving and many others! Of course, your dog is welcome as dogs always are at the US National Whitewater Center. There will be giveaways, dog adoptions and activity clinics for you and your pup to enjoy. They may want to make up a whole new category of competitions for my pal Colby here. She has her very own variety of water-loving activities, but I bet she would love watching those dock-diving dogs! The whole thing starts up at 2pm. This event is free for spectators, you just have to pay $5 per car to park. So load that car up with some friends and your pups and have a great day!

Featured Adoptable Pets from Animal Control

Do you have room in your home and your heart for a new dog or cat? These two little guys who are currently at Animal Control waiting for their forever homes certainly hope you do (or that you know someone who does). Mandala is a black lab pup who is approximately 8-10 months old. He is already neutered and is about 50 pounds. Don't you just love that crazy cute tongue hanging out of the side of his mouth with his silly smile? Honey is a domestic medium-haired cat. She has already been spayed and is 2-3 years old and just 7 pounds. She is mostly black with just a little patch of white. These two would actually make a pretty good matched set! If you are interested in checking out either of these cuties, head over to Animal Care and Control at 8315 Byrum Dr. Honey's ID# is A773103 and Mandala's ID# is A780954.
