Sometimes the summer weather is just a bit too warm for us pups and our fur coats. But, boy, do we love fall! Now is the time that we can really run outside for a long time and more importantly, and this is different from what I can see that you people like to do, this is a great time for sunbathing. We just love soaking up that fall sun, every once in a while catching a cool breeze. Sometimes you see some of us opening our mouths to the breezes, we just like how it feels, you really should try it sometime. Check out my friends Carmella and Snickers soaking up the autumn sunshine and breeze on that great cool concrete. I just love being a dog, the simple things make us so happy!

You can't always judge a book by it's cover!
So, we pups know that people tend to really judge us by our looks, especially by our breeds. This is especially true for pups that people think are aggressive breeds. Well, so not true! We have so many pups at All Wags that are just as sweet as can be at heart, you just have to look a bit beyond the surface to discover it. Take my buds, Yuri and Luca, for example, they kind of look like wolves, which I know can be an aggressive animal. But, they are true lovers at heart. How can you not love that big, beautiful smile? Remember, don't always judge a book by it's cover! Something that's true, not just for us pups, but for people too! We just all want to be loved!

Where better to snooze than on a stack of chairs!
Hey All! Check out my pal, Milly Grey! She is just pooped and plopped herself right down on a stack of chairs. Do you think she could make herself any flatter? I certainly don't. That's one of those cool skills that us pups have, the flat thing. Milly Grey is one of our super awesome and special everyday dogs and we are so happy that we get to see her and hang out so often. Her mama loves her so much and she has a ton of people and puppy friends at All Wags. She's such a popular girl!

It's a Weimeraner Convention
Some days it seems like we have so many pups at All Wags who look alike. Check out the Weimeraner convention that we had the other day! It's all about finding the little things about the dogs that make them different. For example, Alle, the Weimeraner, has beautiful big eyes, see if you can pick her out in the photo. You can also see that their grays are all just a little bit different... And, that is one of the super important things that the people at All Wags do. So, you can always know that your pup will never be just another Weimeraner or just another Yellow Lab at All Wags. We will always find out what is special about them and makes them the unique and awesome pup that they are!

Does size really matter?
When us pups go about picking our friends, size really doesn't matter. Take Maynard and Juneau here, for example. Juneau is much bigger than Maynard, yet, they play and pal around as if they were the same size. There are plenty of little dogs who love hanging out over on big paws and there are also plenty of big dogs who love hanging out in small paws. Lots of our older big dogs enjoy the usually chill atmosphere over on the small paws size. The people like to try and read the dog and do what makes them the happiest. For us pups, it's all about what's in our little hearts and souls! Size doesn't matter!

Happy Birthday to the Big Dog!
So, yesterday I got home and there were all sorts of crazy smells in my house. I had slept at All Wags, but, I'm telling you, there were a bunch of people at my house while I was gone! They had a party! We had all sorts of good food smells leftover, including a cake! I knew something was up. Well, I figured out that my mama had thrown a surprise 50th birthday party for my dad, Robin. How great is that? The best part is that he was totally surprised and had no idea. My people brother, Josh, had to keep him away from the house all da
y. He said that was starting to get kind of hard as the day went on, but he did a great job! I wish I could have been there, but I totally understand why Bailey and I had to go stay at All Wags. There was a deejay and a Margarita machine (I guess that is something that people really like) and all sorts of delicious food. My mama and dad want to thank everyone who came out to celebrate and make Robin's birthday such a special event! We have so many awesome people in our lives!

Do you whistle while you work? Well, how about sing while you play? Lots of the pups here at All Wags just kind of walk around making noise, maybe a bark, maybe a whiny noise, but just content little noises. I, myself, kind of bellow. It makes my people laugh. Check out this photo of my friend, Scout, singing a song. How awesome is that? Next time you get that feeling, just take a tip from your dog and let out whatever noise it is you are thinking of. I guarantee you will feel great! We always do!

Who needs a bed, really?
I know from experience that a tired dog can sleep pretty much anywhere. Ya know, we already have our fur which is kind of like a blanket, so we're always snuggly. Check out my pal Georgia, she fell fast asleep on a storage chest. It looks like a great spot, actually, wish I was a bit smaller so that I could snag it. Plus, I can't really say enough good things about laying in the sun. Sunbathing is quite a popular past-time at All Wags. We just love snoozing and soaking up those rays!

Remembering Maddie Sue at Barkwells
My family and I and some friends went to Barkwells, which is near Asheville, to celebrate the life of my puppy sister (by adoption) and friend, Maddie Sue. One year ago yesterday, she went to doggie heaven. It was a really hard time for me. I was so confused about where Maddie had gone and also so sad. I eventually came to understand what had happened after licking a lot of tears off of my mom and dad's faces. They always say to me that they don't know how they would have gotten through it without me and I'm so glad that I could help them since they do so many great things for me too. I would say that we all probably love each other more than ever after going through that together. You see, Maddie wasn't very old. She was only three when she died and no one was expecting it. Mom and Dad took her to the vet and just thought that she had an infection or something, but it ended up that she had to have surgery on something called her gall bladder and then she just never got better after the surgery was over. I didn't even really get a chance to say goodbye to her. So, I guess that's a lot of what this weekend was about for me.
Barkwells is a very special place to my family. My mom and Maddie had been there once before I was a part of the family and then we all got to go together last Spring. It was probably Maddie's favorite place on Earth because she could chase tennis balls into the lake all day. So, we knew that there was really no better place to say goodbye to her and to celebrate the short time that we had together than there. I'm really glad that my new adopted sister, Ella, got to
