What's happening to the animals in Haiti?
As a pup hearing about the tragedy in Haiti, I can't help but wonder about what is happening to other pups like me who are there. I know that I rely on my family for pretty much everything, so who is taking care of the pups in Haiti? I was happy to find out that the Humane Society of the United States has been down there doing just that. They, along with a veterinary care group from the Dominican Republic have been down there giving care to the dogs and cats, and also checking on farm and zoo animals. There is also going to be a project started to get these animals vaccinated for rabies, which won't just help the animals, it will keep the people safe too. If you want more updates about the Humane Society's efforts in Haiti, you can visit their website. Just like Misty in this photo here, we are all saying prayers for them and it's also stuff like this that makes me remember how thankful I am for my own puppy life.

Puppy, It's Cold Outside!
I've been hearing many of the people say that this is that coldest winter in Charlotte in a while. Has your pup been feeling the winter chill? Just so you know, they can wear sweaters to All Wags! They really do seem to help the pups who get cold quite a bit and that just makes their day at school that much better. Some pups do wear hoods and that is fine for playing, but other fancy things on sweaters, like rhinestones probably aren't a very good idea. I guess it also can't go without mention that your pup will look adorable in a sweater too!Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Check out the January Issue of the All Wags Newsletter
Hey Everyone! The January issue of the All Wags newsletter is now available on the All Wags website. There is info about some great events to support animal welfare in Charlotte (a cause that as an animal in Charlotte, I think is pretty important!). Don't miss the New Year's dog treat recipe too. I'm sure that your pups will love you even more if you make them some. I can imagine them giving you extra snuggles right now. Plus, if you don't check out the newsletter, I may just have to send Bandit here to come and sit on your shoulders like he is doing to Ali! Happy Wednesday! We hope that you are all getting back in the swing of things after the holidays!

Cappy needs a home!
Hey Everyone! Check out this adorable photo of Cappy! He is a really sweet boy who has been at the Humane Society of Charlotte for over a year waiting for his forever home and he would really like to find one. He is a medium sized lab mix who has already been neutered and housetrained. They think that he is a little over 2 years old. He's very sweet and well-behaved and would love living with you! The cost for his adoption is only $110, that's quite a deal for all of the love that he would give you! If you or anyone that you know is looking for a furry kid, I'd say Cappy is a good candidate! His animal ID number is 7040934 and you can look up all of the info about location and hours for the Humane Society at their website. I'd love it if Cappy got the happy ending that he deserves soon!

Misty's Outdoor Adventures
I thought it would be great to start a fun thing in 2010... I'd love to share with all of you some of the fun and awesome things that my puppy friends do when they aren't All Wags. The first puppy friend that I want to tell you all about is my friend, Misty. Her and her dad, Greg, love the outdoors and have had all sorts of adventures. Misty likes swimming and you can see her swimming away with a great stick in her mouth. Her and her dad took a canoeing trip to the New River and it looks like Misty got out of the canoe and is
having a great time! I'm pretty jealous, that looks like a great swim! They also like to hike together and Misty even has her own pack. I would totally be willing to carry my own treats and potty bags if I had a pack that looked as great as hers. Love it! Misty has also gone camping and her and her dad sleep outside in a cool tent when they do. Doesn't that just sound so relaxing? Sit back and picture it, you can hear crickets and a cool breeze go
es by... Plus, for us pups there's really nothing better than spending time with our people and Misty and her dad have really found hobbies that they can both love and enjoy together. What a lucky girl!

Happy New Years Everybody!
It's a new year and a new decade! Isn't that fantastic? Did you all watch the ball drop last night? Pretty cool, huh? I hear that you are supposed to try and change something for the new year, so my resolution is that I want to learn how to open windows. I'm already pretty good at doors. Mama, are you psyched for that? Maybe you would prefer that I just didn't make a resolution? I hope that you and your pups all had a great new years eve and new years day and that you got lots of snuggle time in! Here's to an amazing 2010!
